Ok, everyone's pallet is different. It is dumb to issue a blanket statement about taste using generous adjectives; so here it is anyway... Smooth Smooth Smooth, as smooth as a cougar consoling a 21-year-old who just got dumped by his girlfriend. the mouthfeel has hints of raspberry and milk chocolate covered in ripe cherries. Perfectly balanced, the wine gently transitions from red fruit to soft chalky tannins with a white pepper structure. The tannic structure lingers just long enough to let the drinker know it was serious.
The nose of this wine is ever changing so it depends on how long it sits in the glass. On first opening, it breathes of red cherry with hints of raspberry and cranberry. The more it breathes, the wine explodes with bright red fruit, red currant, strawberry and freedom.
We used the strongest American made glass we could find and then screen printed directly onto the bottle with glow-in-
the-dark ink. Why? Because how else can you find a bottle when the lights are off? And no one had ever done it before.
Sooooo Chip thinks he’s funny and as a joke, drew a very professional sketch of each of us and put our names and cell phone numbers on each cork. Yep...
What we wrote on the back:
(We write a new story on the back every vintage.)
Have you ever looked back on an old relationship and thought, what the hell was I doing? or re-read a late night text, and thought, what the hell was I thinking?!
Well everyone's been there, and that’s what motivated two reckless buddies into making the bottle. Chip and Doug knew just enough about good wine making to be dangerous. The outcome? A velvety California blend that pairs perfectly with wild nights and ignoring your best friend advice.
Oh and every bottle is printed with glow-in-the-dark ink so couples won't get dehydrated when the lights are off. Why? Because what’s the point otherwise?
So if you’re old enough to know better, but still too young to care, then this bottle is for you
